"From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:16).
Teamwork is a big deal in St Cynwyl's! Our congregation loves to work together, because we know that together, with God's help, we can do anything.
Our Vicar is Christopher Frost - he can be often found in the vicarage (Ficerdy) across the road from the church, with his wife and first child.
Our church is overseen by a Church Council who meet regularly to discuss and govern all kinds of matters within the life of the church. We also have worship leaders and musicians who kindly help by taking services together, as well as a number of church members who are currently training for ordination.
"Where two or three gather in my name - there I am with them" (Jesus' words in Matthew 18:20)
St Cynwyl's is a place where, with joy and thanksgiving, we love to simply worship God, in everything we say and do – not just on a Sunday, but every day.
We believe that, through Jesus Christ, forgiveness and an exciting new life with God are available to anyone who would come to Him.
We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to become a wonderful and life-changing presence in the life of those who believe in Jesus.
And we believe in the authority of the Bible - that it is inspired by God, and that He teaches and challenges us through its words.
We believe this is Good News, and that we’re here to lovingly share it!
In our churches…
We are real and open
We make mistakes
We say ‘I’m sorry’
We forgive, and stay united
We have fun together
We are patient
We value humility
We are inspired by Jesus
We are hopeful
We pray for God’s Kingdom to come
We love…because in Jesus, God has shown how deeply he loves each of us.
